Design Work Restarted

After taking a long break from the project, I’ve decided to pick it back up and start fresh with a few changes to the design.

When I first tried to bring up the initial board, I ran into a serious manufacturing issue. Some vias were incorrectly connected, which meant drilling them out and adding patch wires just to get power rails separated. The result wasn’t pretty:

On top of that, I discovered a couple of mistakes in my own design. Combined with limited time to work on the project, it quickly became more frustrating than fun, and I lost motivation to continue.

Coming back to it now with a fresh perspective, I’ve got some new ideas I want to incorporate into the hardware. Since the original board was never close to being fully functional anyway, it made sense to restart with a clean redesign.
